Onboarding sets up the profile other builders and companies will see. Most details can be changed later, but choose your handle carefully: it becomes part of your public URL and must be unique across people and companies.

Choose a valid handle

Handles use lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores. They must be between 3 and 50 characters, cannot begin or end with an underscore, and cannot contain repeated underscores. Some platform and system words are reserved.

Finish the essentials

  1. Add the name you want shown on your professional profile.
  2. Choose an available public handle.
  3. Add a profile image, headline, location, and short professional summary.
  4. Select relevant skills, ecosystems, and networking intentions.
  5. Review the preview before finishing onboarding.

If your preferred handle is unavailable

The handle may already belong to a person or company, or it may be reserved by dApp.ing. Try a short variation that people will still recognize.

Before sharing your profile, check its public view and review your visibility settings for location, social accounts, work status, wallet, and NFTs.
